Samsung Galaxy S Duos Software Update brings Blocking Mode and Stability Improvements
Samsung has released a software update to its Galaxy S duos smartphone. It is a small update, however it brings in new feature called Blocking Mode and some stability fixes. The update is available through OTA or through Samsung Kies.
The new Blocking mode provides users to disable notifications for certain features on the device such as incoming calls, alarm and timer and notification itself. The good thing about this is we can choose the time on when we should not get disturbed. It allows us choose the contacts on which we want recieve incoming calls even when we are enabled Blocking mode. It works more or less similar to DND feature in iOS.
To get this update, go to setting on your Samsung Galaxy S Duos, tap on About Device and then select Software Update and then once again update. If you have very slow internet connection, then choose to update through Samsung Kies.
Samsung Galaxy S Duos is a dual sim smartphone running Android 4.0.4 ICS. It is powered by 1GHz single core processor with 768MB of RAM. The device has 5MP primary camera and a VGA front facing camera. You can read more on this in Samsung Galaxy S Duos Review.
