Nokia Asha 501 Review

Nokia Asha 501 is a dual sim compact candy bar phone and runs on new Asha operating system with Java support. The device is available in Black, White, Cyan, Yellow and Red color variants.

Though Nokia Asha 501 is a basic phone, it does performs much better than some of the mid range smartphones. The gaming experience and responsive touch screen are main attraction of this phone. The Nokia Asha 501 price in India is Rs.5199.

Nokia Asha 501 sports 3 inch scratch resistant capacitive LCD touch screen with a screen resolution of 240×320 pixels and 262k color depth. The new Asha User interface provides smooth and the new quick swipe to perform any action such as to multi task, switch between applications and basically get around your phone.

The new Nokia Asha 501 weighs just 98 grams and has 3.2MP primary camera. The built in memory of the device is 64MB and supports microSD card upto 32GB. Connectivity features includes GPRS,EDGE Bluetooth and WiFi. Like other Nokia feature phones, Asha 501 too supports Nokia PC suite to connect to PC via USB. Asha 501 also comes with 40 free EA games that can be downloaded by consumers.

Nokia Asha platform do not have a huge set of apps like Android or Windows. But it has very useful bunch of apps in its store to entertain. The apps such as eBuddy, ESPN, Foursquare, LinkedIn, Pictelligent, The Weather Channel, World of Red Bull and a few popular games from Electronic Arts, Gameloft, Indiagames, NamcoBandai and Reliance Games are available for download for this device.
