Popular budget Android smartphone Moto E finally got its successor. Motorola has launched newer version of Moto E 2015 with 4G capability. The price of new Moto E 2015 is $149 for the 4G variant and $119 for the 3G variant.
The new Moto E 2015 is powered by Quad core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 64 bit SOC with 1GB of RAM. The display screen size increased to 4.5 inch but screen resolution is retained at qHD. The battery also seen a improvement which is now 2390 mAh. Moto E 2015 will run Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. According to the press release from Motorola, this device will be launched in India soon.

New Moto E 2015 has 8GB of internal storage and support for the microSD card upto 32GB. There is 5MP primary camera which can record videos at 720pHD and a VGA front facing camera. As per the communication from the Motorola, the device will be rolled out in 50 countries which consist of North America and Latin America, along with Europe and Asia.
Looking at the specification, it doesn’t looks like a major upgrade from its predecessor. However, when we really get the device we will be able to judge on this device. It will be interesting to see how it fares against the likes of Lenovo A6000.

Advantages of New Moto E 2015 over its predecessor
- Processor: In this segment, new Moto E has seen major upgrade. From Dual Core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 it increased to Quad core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 64 bit SOC.
- Storage: Internal storage capacity now 8GB instead of 4GB. Expandable storage both the device has the same.
- Display: The screen size increased to 4.5 inch instead of 4 inch in the original Moto E. However, there is no change in the screen resolution.
- Battery: Here also there is a huge improvement. Original one had 1980 mAh battery whereas the new Moto E has 2390 mAh battery.
- Camera: Both version comes with 5MP primary camera. But new Moto E has the ability to record videos at 720p resolution. Also there is a addition of VGA front facing camera in the new Moto E.
- Connectivity: The new Moto E 2015 comes with 4G capability.
We have seen 4G enabled devices in India in a budget price recently. The like of Lenovo A6000 and Yu Yureka which interms of specifications, looks much better than the new Moto E. However, actual performance comparison can be done only after we see the retail unit.
