What are the causes of Dengue Fever
Dengue fever is transmitted by genus of mosquitoes called Aedes Mosquitoes. These mosquitoes are visually distinctive as they have black and white marking on their body and legs. One more unique charecteristics of these mosquitoes is they bite only during the daytime. The peak biting periods are early in the morning and in the evening before dusk. As we all know already, only female mosquitoes bite humans as they need proteins to develop eggs. At a time, these mosquitoes can lay up to 100 eggs. Life span of Aedes Mosquitoes is around two weeks, in this period they can ley egg upto 3 times.
Single bite of these Dengue virus carrying mosqutoes is enough to infect human with Dengue. The Dengue virus gets enteres into human body through mosquito’s Saliva and enters WBC (white blood cells). They reproduce at a faster rate and move throughout the body with blood.
The ayurvedic name for Dengue fever is Dandak Jwara. According to Ayurveda, it is vata that is affecting the overall dosha. To achieve balance in the doshas and well-being in the person once again all the negative toxins (ama) caused by the initial bite must be expelled after a course of purification, recovery and healing.
